From 14th April, we will be putting in place a temporary pricing adjustment.

Why this is happening

The recent conflict in Iran has severely disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz—a critical global trade route. Maritime shipping and insurance costs have risen dramatically in recent weeks, which as the NHS Supply Chain News has recently noted, the dynamic situation has increased risk of disruption. This has triggered significant and unavoidable cost increases across fuel, energy, and essential consumables including gloves, wipes, cleaning chemicals, and other PPE-related items. It is likely that some products face delays or production issues also.

What we have done to protect you

Over recent weeks, we have received notification of multiple price increases from our manufacturing partners. We have delayed passing these on for as long as possible whilst we explored every alternative to mitigate the impact.

What is changing

On a case-by-case basis, we will apply adjustments to affected orders to reflect these unavoidable cost increases. We anticipate consumable products being broadly affected. This will reflect via a per-item price adjustment on specific products, directly linked to the increased costs we are facing.

Our commitment to you

We are monitoring the situation daily, and will adjust pricing to reflect developments as they occur, whether costs of production and transport stabilise, as we hope, or in the unfortunate case that further increases arise.
